Frequently asked questions

What medals do you accept for mounting?

Generally speaking, we deal with UK Military and Civilian Services medals and awards.

However, we are more than happy to consider other awards and medals to suit your requirements.

I am missing a medal, can you provide a replacement?

Yes!  We can provide high quality copy medals (both full-size and miniatures) for your order.

(Please note that for full-size medals, these are not genuine issued replacements.  If you require an issued replacement please contact us for further advice.)

Can I keep the old ribbons?

Absolutely! We are happy to return your old ribbons, presentation boxes, etc. to you.

We have in the past mounted the old ribbons onto a ribbon bar, to allow their presentation and preservation.

Do you have military experience?

I am a proud member of the Army Cadet Force, having served for over 20 years!

Do you clean my medals before mounting?

Yes!  We provide a basic clean for medals sent to us for mounting, which is designed to remove fingerprints, rain marks and very light tarnishing.

Should more vigourous cleaning be required or requested, this will be added to your invoice on a case-by-case basis.

Do you re-plate medals?

We currently do not have the facility to complete this ourselves, however we deal with a trusted partner company to provide this if requested.

It is hoped that we can provide this ourselves in future to lower the cost to you.

How long does it take to complete a set of medals?

Every order is unique, so times can vary.

We are also currently a part-time enterprise, so it can take a bit longer than some more established mounters depending on demand, particularly at busy times such as the run up to Remembrance Sunday.

However, for most orders for a standard set of court mounted medals, we should be able to complete them between 2-4 weeks from receipt of your medals.  This will be confirmed when receiving the quote.

Do you provide an express service?

We can provide an express service if you need your medals completing for a particular date (subject to availability).

An express service charge will be added to the quote, based upon what is required and the method of delivery.
